WA 6 -OHA 3

A barn burner in West Point ladies and gentlemen. If you weren't there or listening to it then you missed a good one. It was a great opener for the Patriots because we knocked off Oak Hill who is a 3A powerhouse. The game got off to a very sloppy start with a 90 min. rain delay sending all fans and players indoors for the time being taking away precious time from the night. Tyler Dalton had a tough time adjusting to the inclimate weather but adjusted well later. A pass from Dalton to new transfer Dillion Morgan proved to be the turning point of the ballgame. The Patriots were backed deep in their own territory on second down early in the fourth quarter. Dalton dropped back and the defense was coming after him and he managed to dump the short pass off to Morgan and Morgan in turn took the ball 65 yards down the sideline turning the game around for the Pats. 3 plays later the patriots had a score after a fumble was recovered in the endzone by one of our players. Calling the game for the first time with my dad was a big deal and getting the win made it even better. Tonight I chose as the Temptco Steele player of the game; Carlos Black. Carlos was chosen by me because of his leadership on the field both defensively and offensively and he was actively always in the backfield on defense that's why I chose the senior linebacker/fullback as the player of the game. Next week the patriots take on 1A team Sylva Bay who shouldn't be even close of a competitor on the same page as Oak Hill. Next week should also be better for the passing offense. Keep the patriot nation strong and share this blog. Thanks fans
